A voice that carries you back into your connection
Aramaic singing. Healing presence. Deep remembrance.
For people who sense that something within them calls for peace, clarity and connection.
My voice is today my prayer,
that turns wounds into wings.

THE CALL OF LOVE

What is the call of your heart?
The World is Sound
IT IS ABOUT REMEMBRANCE
Perhaps you sense that something in you is calling for connection. For peace, for depth, for what is truly yours. Sometimes we search outside, even though something within us has long known what we long for.
MUSIC & SCIENCE
What we feel, research begins to make visible.
Music reaches far more than our ear. Neuroscience shows that sound is connected to emotion, memory, movement, reward, and physical responses.
In 2019, my Aramaic singing was part of the International Symposium on Neuroscience with Music in Berlin. During a live session, a participant's response was monitored using EEG.
For me it was a special moment: something we experience directly through sound suddenly became visible.
Learn more about Music & ScienceTHE LANGUAGE THAT REMEMBERS
Aramaic is the language of my roots.
The language in which I sing today. Its sounds have led me back to my voice, to my own depth, and to the question of who I truly am and what I want to live in this life.
They have reminded me of what belongs to me. Of my origins, my calling, and a place within me where I need not explain anything.
And perhaps these sounds also invite you to listen to yourself again.
Am I living the life that truly belongs to me?
Music touches where words cannot reach.

About Me
I am Maria Kaplan. My roots lie in the Tur Abdin, an ancient cultural landscape in present-day Turkey near the Syrian border. There begins the story of my Aramaic heritage.
In 2007, my life took an unexpected turn. In very clear, recurring dreams, I traveled to Jerusalem. At the time, I did not understand what these dreams meant. A few months later, my phone rang, and a monk unknown to me from an Aramaic monastery in Jerusalem invited me.
Unexpectedly, I found something there that had long belonged to me: the song of my ancestors, my Aramaic language and the connection to my roots. Aramaic led me back to my voice, to my origins — and ultimately to the question of what I truly want to live in this life.
Today, my voice is a space for encounter, stillness and remembrance. A space in which people can step out of the outside for a moment and arrive closer to themselves again.
What began back then has fundamentally changed my life. This path has become an essential part of my life and my calling. Through my voice, my singing and my story, I wish to touch people so they may arrive closer to themselves again.
